Not Done

I posted this piece a while back but I recently did a video version of it for a school project so I’ve included that here.

Philippians 1:6 says, “And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ.”

So, if a hallelujah can still pass these lips
Like a cry of redemption from the bottomless pit
If the broken pieces still continue to fit
Then you are not done
And I’m not tired yet

If you can make glory when I’m gutted inside
If you create spaces where darkness can’t hide
If forgiveness is found even when I forget
Then you are not done
And I’m not tired yet

If the Son of God knows what it’s like to be human
If the mind of the Almighty has seen the conclusion
If the King says the enemy poses no threat
Then you are not done
And I’m not tired yet

Never changing
Always saving
Reaching, running, rearranging
Every stronghold
Every blindfold
Crushing chains that never could hold
Who am I now?
Holy somehow
Humble helper bending to bow
King of all Kings
Let the name ring
Yahweh, Yeshua, Lord of all things

So, if that’s the God that we’re talking about
Mighty to move miles and mountains of doubt
If my prayer is not shaken when you answer direct
Then you are not done
And I’m not tired yet

If the heavens are aching for glory released
If the foundation is shaking for heavenly peace
If your plans are bigger than I ever could bet
Then you are not done
And I’m not tired yet

As long as a song can set cities aflame
As long as there’s breath left to speak Jesus name
As long as the Prince pays the price of my debt
Then you are not done
And I’m not tired yet

Fresh arrival
Come revival
Holy Spirit move inside all
Place your name here
Jesus draw near
With faith and trust, relinquish all fear
God of mercy
Refracted from me
Teach your child to see how you see
Give us new names
Call up new flames
From simple souls may your freedom reign

So, if there’s still a good work to awaken in me
If there are still miracles left to complete
If in Philippians 1:6, you said what you meant
Then you are not done
And I’m not tired yet
