Korri and I are going to the wedding of a friend in a few weeks and she kindly asked if we would like to do a reading together. She said that she really didn’t have a preference what we read and left it up to us. We looked around and took a few suggestions and then Korri said, why don’t you just write something. At the end of the day I’m a sucker for writing about love and I think marriage is simply the best so I said I’d take a swing at it. Below is the poem that Korri and I will present at the wedding. They say there may be oceans
Underneath the ones we know
Swirling depths of secrecy
And beauty down below
And if they ever find them
Like the bold hearted are prone to do
I’ll call them friend as they comprehend
How deep my love for you

They say there may be galaxies
Beyond what mortals believe
Where an angels dance is circumstance
To shapes we can’t conceive
And even if I stretch my mind
To bring that space in view
It couldn’t tap the corners
